The only problem is that the driver does not get listed HOWEVER, and this is the real problem, Windows can’t find a driver for the printer to install and there is no provision in the printer wizard for networked printers that allows me to specify to search the internet for a driver, it only allows me to specify if I have the disk! The only thing I am aware of having done differently was using libtiff4 and libpng3 from the current repositories, but post 1 was updated by the original poster saying that those should work, too.

No-one else here at Ubuntuforums seems to have posted a fix either. I’ve already corrected this problem and had finally installed libtiff3g and libpng2 with apt-get, and redo all the steps, but always the same problem.
Does the ink monitor work telling you when to change carts? Neither can I find the ppd or ppd.
Assuming you’re using synaptic for this I like it better than KDE’s o865 manager Other Windows machines can access the printer just fine.

I get a message that a test page has been sent to the printer but nothing happens after that it used to blink when it received data – doesn’t even do that anymore.
